Matthew 28:18-20 - "All
authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and
make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father
and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I
commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
The
congregation at Summit has been active in mission work since the
congregation began in 1979 when the congregation supported a mission team in
Argentina. Over the years, the congregation has supported international,
national, regional and local missions. In 2006 the congregation actively
supported World Christian Broadcasting, Central American Missions, Eastern
European Missions, the African Christian Schools Foundation, as well as
rising to the occasion after hurricane Katrina to help a sister congregation
in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
With God’s
guidance and blessing it is our hope that the year 2008 will provide more
opportunities for our congregation to support missions at home, across our
nation and throughout the world. As followers of Jesus we can do no less
than our part of the “Great Commission.” We desire to do more than a list
of works could ever state. All we need is you to help make the Lord’s
commands to reach the world a reality.
