Ministry Leaders:    Bruce Adams - Cradle Roll through Grade 6
Jason Carter - Teenagers through Adult

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."  II Timothy 2:15

It is the duty and desire of the church at Summit that the study of the Scriptures must be early and continuous.  That's the reason we begin in cradle roll teaching our babies about God and Jesus.  We continue this teaching in graded classes from the cradle roll through adulthood.  These studies are organized on both Sunday morning and on Wednesday evening.  In addition, some families get together through the week to continue studies.

The goals for the education efforts at Summit are:

1.   Create and maintain a rotation of adult class teachers and topics such that two classes are
offered on Sunday AM and Wednesday PM.
2.   Work with the elders to develop a 8-year study plan for Summit's adults.  Click here to see
      the entire 8-year study plan.
3.   Conduct a Promotion Day ceremony for those students graduating to the next class in the
      month of September.
4.   Conduct at least one teacher training session to improve quality of Bible education given to each
      student.
5.   Conduct a VBS with emphasis on reaching parents through children who attend. Utilize at least
50 members of the congregation across all age groups in conducting the VBS by August.
6.   Provide high quality of Bible education that will help to attract and retain families at Summit.
7.   Encourage teachers to maintain bulletin boards in classrooms that enhance the instruction.
Bulletin boards should be fresh and current to what students are studying.
8.   Conduct young men's training program each fifth Sunday of the month in order to develop public
      leadership qualities of young men.
9.   Conduct a Pew Packers program and a Timothy class to encourage young people to memorize
Bible verses and other important information as well as to help young men to become
accustomed to leading in a public way.
10. Thoroughly prepare at least one Bible Bowl team for each age group to compete in the annual
Summit / Miami Valley Bible Bowl in March.
13. Maintain current class description and teacher assignments on the Summit Web Page and
      bulletin board in foyer.
14. Conduct an annual Teacher’s Appreciation dinner.
